Let It Rust 03:03
Tired of the same thing everyday Feel I’m wandering astray You forget your place on the stage You’re an actor not a purveyor of the play Read your lines and then shuffle on out of the way Let it rust Call on me when you’re in need I’m always ready and willing to bleed If only I could leave when I please Think you’ll get anywhere not caring if you succeed So pick up the lines and give ‘em another read Let it rust
2.
Coming Clear 03:26
I can see it I can see I can see it I can see It’s coming in clear It’s coming in clear now It’s coming in clear It’s coming in clearly now For a moment I can hear it I can hear I can’t hear it I can’t hear it anymore It was coming in clear It was coming clear now It was coming in clear It was coming so clearly now For a moment, for a moment, for a moment Gotta get that sound back
3.
How much can you cram into a minute A hell of a lot if you push and shove How much can you fit into an hour Just enough to change someone’s mind
4.
Everybody, gather around I’ve got the songs all I need are hands and drums All the world is holding it’s, holding its breath We’ll knock ‘em out once this album’s been found Tune in, don’t tune out Let’s hear it across the club Tune in, don’t tune out Let’s hear it across the club And the orchestra lights up We’ll meet up, seven times a week Bring your bass and amp with spare strings if you can We’ll find the money, yeah, we’ll scrounge it up But in the meantime you should be on time ‘cause you’re in the neighborhood Tune in, don’t tune out Let’s hear it across the club Tune in, don’t tune out Now play it across the club And the orchestra lights up
5.
Call 'Em Off 02:45
Call off the doctors Call off the priests Call in the policeman He’ll shoot you where you stand He’ll shoot you in the streets It’s best to pay no heed Call in the leaders Call in the suits Call off the bystanders They’ll shoot up your standards They’ll shoot the hired hand They’ll make their final stand Yeah, they’ll make their final stand He said Call off the peaceful Call off the crowds Call in the army man To shoot you where you stand To shoot you in the sheets No matter where you’ll be They’ll find someone to beat Yeah they’ll find someone to beat And bring unending heat
6.
Will Go 03:41
Late at night when the house is asleep I’ll sneak out on my bike, play my guitar at the top of a tree The moon hangs high watching over me I strum in its light, dreaming up songs I think I’ll keep Burn it to ashes and see I will go great lengths, never mind the pains, to set you free Doing all I can to maintain this flight In a short span, too many ideas and so little time I’ve got the band and they’re doing alright If we get the chance, we might just bring these songs to life Burn it to ashes and see I will go great lengths, never mind the pains, to set you free On the edge of something great I can feel it coming my way I’d perish without this escape Surrender to my mistake Burn it to ashes and see I will go great lengths, never mind the pains, to set you free

I flew by Too fast to stop and say hi There’s some place I’m supposed to be right now Some place I’m supposed to be right now I drive by In the high occupancy lane Because this car’s got me and my passenger brain This car’s got me and my passenger brain Feels like two different things Tryin’ to collide Not softly meet in a middle ground Parade until they’ve got it down I dove in Didn’t bother to close my eyes There’s so much to see and so little time So much to see and so little time I dug in The soil of the sun Planting flowers that emit a nuclear megaton Yeah they emit a nuclear megaton Feels like two different things Tryin’ to collide Not softly meet in a middle ground Parade until they’ve got it down I thought we’d be there by now I thought we’d be there by now (The syndrome is working up) I thought we’d be there by now (All these nobodies ‘till they bust)
9.
Watch it falling apart Pluck the feathers from the wax River runs red Watch her falling apart Step into the back for a minute Recompose Watch him pushing the cart None of the wheels run straight Veins run read Watch you falling apart The whole world’s coming down Wings are singed It makes no sense at all Disappears in a blink and then it’s long, long gone
10.
I haven’t seen her In fourteen days I don’t believe her How could she treat me this way? I’m feeling lonely Trapped in a closet of a room Oh so lonely Left to my own doom You make it out to be, something that’s real, something I feel I missed my shot Only one I’ll ever get I missed the shot And now I’m full of regret My fingers are bleeding Bits all over the floor My fingers are bleeding And I’m not sure what for You make it out to be, something that’s real, something I feel
11.
ACSR 04:43
There’s no change in the way I talk Or in the way I see the world There’s no difference in the people that surround me I’m picking up something else I’ve been in a rut Couldn’t see a way out Until the waves washing over my ears Told me what it’s all about You know what it’s like To feel, right now? My mind has been opened wide It came to me one night As I listened to my favorite tunes The ancient Secret Of rock!
12.
Tunehead 03:12
My head’s a tuner And my body a broken shell My heart’s a boom box And my eyes can’t keep up with the smell I tune into the universe And a million different waves Picking up strange noises Of people going about their day

Harbor 08:49
I’m back on this bus The smell hasn’t changed The seats all torn up The message clear as day The windows are fogged over Not that there’s much to see Think I’ll sink below or Hold tight to my belief That I can still open Myself to the world at large Maybe then I’ll know it The next stop is still so far How do you wanna go I don’t really know Just keep pushin’ on Always another show Search deep inside The harbor of your heart Maybe then you’ll find The best place to start Better wake up early Before the birds have had their song Or you’ll be left yearning For the ship that has gone There will be no refunds That ticket’s a one-way trip Weigh all your relations Can you ditch those that prick? Standing at the ship bow The salty breeze stings my lips I was expecting more of a crowd To see me off to the abyss The day that I dread for When even sound won’t cure this I should have known better Just another event I’ll miss I’m sitting on top Or at least I’ll be there soon All the filth we’ve passed up Worth it now that we’re immune How do you wanna go I don’t really know Just keep pushin’ on Always another show Search deep inside The harbor of your heart Maybe then you’ll find The best place to start Just keep pushin’ on There’s always another show You’ve got to search deep inside The harbor of your heart Maybe then you’ll find The best place to start

All over the globe, wouldn’t you know The crows took flight, shaped like a knife All of the leaves, cover the creek Right off the bat, they did attack In what can only be described as an unprecedented rise to success and fame, a new celebrity has ascended from our town’s local scene to become a household name. Fans are calling them the “Saviors of Rock”; concerned parents are less than enthusiastic. One thing remains certain: no one saw this coming. No one saw it coming No one saw it coming No one saw it coming No one saw it coming No one saw it coming
16.
Supersonic youth Pumpkins smashed overhead Caught in the undertow The pixies want me dead They strut their stuff No one calls their bluff They tune their stuff And look so tough Making lots of noise In the underground scene Don’t flaunt their looks Alternative queens They strut their stuff No one calls their bluff They tune their stuff And look so tough
17.
S/D/R&R 02:18
Sex drugs and rock n roll That’s how I wanna go The ideal lifestyle Yeah that’s how I wanna go Slip away I slip away Act so depraved As I slip away Sex drugs and rock n roll That’s how I wanna go Trashing and pillaging whole Hotel rooms, we’re outta control Slip away I’m slipping away Act so depraved As I go insane Sex drugs and rock n roll That’s how I’m gonna go Sex drugs and rock n roll That’s how I’m gonna go That’s how I’m gonna go

After the smoke clears After the smoke clears I’ll be waiting here After the smoke clears You can meet me there In the marshes of my mind In the city outskirts Where bright lights rarely shine Get lost deep in thought Searching for another kind At the heart of legends old The Switchways rarely invite After the smoke clears After the smoke clears I’ll be waiting here After the smoke clears
19.
Song For You 07:17
I was born down Destined to fail No defense Or recompense for me Down here It’s all I can see I’ll play the clown Always have And this time No one’s behind but me Back here It’s all I can see I placed trust In myself and in you Look where that got me Look where that got me I wrote this song for you You put me down I won’t forget you when I see you around
20.
Gotta get that sound back Gotta get that sound back How long does it take? To realize, its not what you wanted How long will you wait? To settle on, a question undecided And how long before fate? Kicks in, there’s no way to override it When they found out the truth Everyone refused My existence wasn’t proof Convinced it can’t be true So I must be crazy The universe is empty Perfect sounds aren’t worthy Of all they’ve put up with me Gotta get that sound back Gotta get that sound back Gotta get that sound back Gotta get that sound back Gotta get that sound Gotta get that sound Oh please Oh please Oh please, won’t somebody help me?
21.
I should have opened up my mouth Didn’t and know I’m stuck here on the floor Writing all of these songs about Things I have never had before I should have opened up my eyes There’s a million ways to count the stars Out under the moon Of the roof in the yard They said hop aboard So I took one last look at the Earth and waved goodbye Why did you think What made you think that would happen Why did you think What made you think people’d relate? People ask me what it’s like To have sailed amongst the cosmos I tell them to go and take a drive On an empty highway and see where their thoughts go I tried my best and nobody cared They chewed me up and threw me away And yet still as I write these songs The whole ordeal guides me on what to say They said hop aboard So I took one last look at the Earth and waved goodbye Why did you think What made you think that would happen Why did you think What made you think people’d relate? Why did you think that would happen? What made you think people’d relate? Why did you think that would happen? What made you think people’d relate? People’d relate (Why did you think)
22.
I watch you take each step So gingerly Careful not to disturb That which is so serene The still on the sidewalk Knows no master Watch how it bends and flows But hides in the trees It’s so quiet out Balanced on the tip Never shining enough to know But just enough to see I watch you take another step So easily Sending ripples through the still Breaking the peace I respect the still I respect the still Do you respect the still? Got to tune in Got to tune in Got to tune in

Those Words 03:02
I’ve got the time If you could spare the gas I’m free after nine We’ll hit the maps When you say those words I’ll take ya home When you say those words I’ll think it over When you say those words I’ll take ya home When you say those words I’ll think it over I’ve got some change If you want some too Throw the wrappers in the back Now where are we off too? When you say those words I’ll take ya home When you say those words I’ll think it over When you say those words I’ll take ya home When you say those words I’ll think it over
25.
Fold Over 02:49
There was a time in your life Things were spinning out of control You told me in confidence I said I’ll be there if you fall too far To pull you out Winter or Spring just yell for me I’ve been there, know what it’s like Won’t bother me at all Don’t fold over You let ‘em walk all over you It’s true Clutch that journal to your chest A lifesaver in these halls And in the end you sit up front To stave away the thralls of all the snobby kids Who act like jerks And box you in Can’t let ‘em know you hate their guts Say you don’t care at all Don’t fold over You let ‘em walk all over you It’s true It’s true
26.
Tell You How 02:32
Troubles plague Your uneasy mind I think I see the difference between you and I Doubt grows With every hour Pluck it out and plant it with the rest of the flowers Speak slow The words won’t come Show them you’ve got all it takes to get this done I’ve still got So much to give To die here now Kill off the question of how Deny the devout Disavow Disavow Disavow
27.
Toil 02:44
Toil for hours at a time On hallowed ground To you and I A final chance to make it right The pillars crumbled On empty lies All the others left behind I think that’s fair Completely fine I work better on my own No distractions To stop the flow I’m running unopposed Is it tyranny When no one says no It’s going out of style Better hurry Finish up my child The lights of regency grow And believably Fake plaster glows What’s left when the day ends A finished product? Well that depends I’m free to choose I’m free, are you?
28.
Landmark 03:00
According to popular legend They did skyrocket to fame Upon release of their debut album Though the world had yet to learn their name They blew up in the underground scene Sold all fifty copies away And everyone who bought one Went and started a band that day The whole scene had its eye on them And the money started pouring in So the architect set off to work Planning the greatest release that would ever exist When the first single was released The industry went insane Some claimed if you play it backwards “Glory to Satan!” was proclaimed The record neared completion Stories started getting outta hand The quiet one and the leader Got into a fight and almost quit the band Then the track list got out One song for every day in the month of June And a concept that seemed so far out Completely original, entirely new There was only a single concert The stuff of legends they say And the label, well it went bankrupt And the band went their separate ways Now that albums one of the best A landmark for the age When no one had ever done what they did Despite all those who dare set aim At least ten new genres were spawned And the members have all made top ten lists The radio plays ‘em all the time The legends that one day ceased to exist
29.
All the people that I’ve left behind Look just like faces I have never seen Not like I care to remember much If I did I’d go and find peace The day is nearing its end Points you made lie just outside of view You lay in bed just to get away Forget for a moment that you’re still you
30.
Gotta get that sound back Gotta get that sound back Brilliantly gleaming (The stars tonight) And just outside your house (I thought I could reach) And pull them from the clouds (Not that they’d help me) The waves don’t visit (As often as they used to) And the “fans” stopped looking (Just like you thought) The strings all snapped (I keep it polished anyway) Brilliantly gleaming Brilliantly gleaming Wait until the time is right Wait until the time is right Wait until the time is right so you take what’s mine Wait until the time is right I guess that’s my station in life Waiting until you take what’s mine Waiting until you take what’s mine Waiting until you take what’s mine Not that I’d ever have that kind of life Wait until the time is right Wait until the time is right You wait until the time is right …

about

Another big double-concept-album. This tells the story of our protagonist, Tunehead, who has the unique gift of tuning into frequencies that are coming from across this universe, and maybe even other dimensions. Drawing on them for inspirations to his songs, this album details his struggles. Fully harnessing this talent, putting together a band, excess and the inevitable downfall, and finally coming to terms with his life.

What was I thinking. Took me over a month to record everything, but the result is a varied approach that I feel captures many of the different types of music I like to explore. Everything was written, played, recorded, etc., by me.
